on " councillor dan yake critical of engineering firm choice From the outside the process seems unusual. -September 7 water/sewer committee minutes report councillors taking straw poll prior to committee deliberations. What is committee's role? -The municipality's own engineer opines either firm is competent. -The firm selected quotes a higher price for work scope. -According to councillor Yake initial authorization and scope may have been lost/confused in transition of old to new council. -Council would be prudent to examine decision making grounds/processes regarding this matter now and in the future
