Our little band of adventurers set out this past Saturday bound for the Rural Romp events with high expectations. We were not disappointed. Whether making friends with some of the many animals we met along the way - Elk, Highland Cattle, Alpacas and Ostrich, to name a few - or listening to a detailed description of the fine art of harvesting honey, there was plenty to keep us entertained. The day was gorgeous, just a hint of fall, and the farmers at each stop along the way were friendly and informative. The farmers who participated in the Rural Romp are to be commended one and all for their overwhelming hospitality and committment to their craft. Dinner that evening (purchased at our many stops) was wonderful. Looking forward to next year!
