RE: 'Duck Tax', July 26
Ms. Herschel doesn't believe politicians would give back every penny of a revenue neutral tax.  They did in B.C.!  A Fraser Institute report claimed they did not; however, if you read their report and use the numbers the Fraser Institute claimed were accurate, then the B.C. Government actually gave back MORE than they collected in carbon tax over the period in question.  Like most climate deniers, they were economical with the truth.
I object to Ms. Herschel's comment, "... doublespeak of the previous governments ...".  Most politicians try to represent their constituents to the best of their ability and stand by their principles.  Excellent examples are our riding's representatives, Ted Arnott and Michael Chong.
