Archived Letter - 1450

Dear Editor:
My husband and I have had the privilege of living in Drew on the busy corner of Wellington Rd 2 and Ayton rd, for nearly twenty years. During those years we have witnessed many accidents on that corner, and today was no exception.
My friends and neighbors all agree that something needs to done to protect the people in our neighborhood and those travelling on our roads. A few years ago someone even put together a petition to have the speed limit lowered but nothing was ever done.
We worry that someday someone may lose their life on that corner.  It is our hope that writing this letter may get some much needed attention to our little community.
We’d love to see more rumble strips put in place, speed bumps, lower speed limit or flashing lights to keep our corner safe.
