I stand here in total shock and dismay watching the great mulberry tree being cut down by township workers!
This tree is almost a landmark and stands beside the mailboxes at the corner of Ridge road and Joliffe road.
It's been here a long time and many of us local residents have enjoyed it's fruit, even some have gone as far as to make jam from a big collection.
I'd like to know who put in the executive order to have this beautiful tree cut down!
I can hazard a guess....but this is beyond stupidity!
I really enjoy living in a small town community but some of the decisions that are made just have no thought or what the impact will be to community!
Why cut down a perfectly healthy tree when there are so many other dead ones that need attention....
Someone needs to come forth and explain their decision to have this done....cause once people see that it's been cut down there are going to be many angry people asking for answers!
