Dear Editor:
It was pleasing to learn that Gregory Oakes recently received the Meritorious Service Medal, the Royal Canadian Legion’s highest award.
When I first moved to Elora in 1990, Mr. Oakes was heavily involved in service to the Legion at the Elora Branch 229, as well as at the district level, and in the Canadian Reserves, all while building a law practice.
I often wondered where he found all the time.
