GUELPH – An anonymous donor is matching up to $45,000 for Hospice Wellington.
The charitable organization serves its community with palliative care providers, health care professionals and volunteers.
The donor is matching any donations up to $45,000 due to the care her husband and family received from Hospice Wellington, officials say.
“I was so pleased that people donated in my husband’s memory after his stay in Hospice Wellington,” the anonymous donor explained in a press release.
“It made me happy to think that he might have inspired people to make such special care possibly for others. It feels important to leave a legacy. There are very few things that can make an impact, and this gift feels like one,” she continued.
“For me, this gesture extends his legacy, goodness out of loss, to help so many others.”
