Annual variety show supports theatre

The Drayton Festival Theatre is a not-for-profit charitable organization and Canada’s third largest professional theatre company, entertaining over 200,000 theatregoers annually.

To ensure the show will go on, the theatre will host three fundraising events this fall.

The 20th Annual Alan Lund Memorial Variety Show will take place Oct. 14 at 3pm.

The popular variety show pays tribute to the extraordinary talent of Alan Lund, Canada’s much-loved director and choreographer with a fun-filled musical revue that features a fabulous selection of singing, dancing and comedy.

Tickets for this performance are $23 per person including HST.

On Oct. 19 at 8pm, the show Hank Williams: Live 1952 will offer a theatrical tribute to the king of country music, starring Joe Matheson.

Experience Williams’ life and greatest hits live on stage in an intimate tribute set in 1952. Tickets for this performance are $35 per person including HST.

The third fundraiser is Rhinestone Cowgirl: A Tribute to Dolly Parton taking place on Nov. 3 with two shows at 2pm and 8pm. The show stars Leisa Way and features TheWayward Wind Band.

Audiences will hear many of Dolly’s greatest hits live on stage at the Drayton Festival Theatre. Tickets for the show are $35 per person including HST.
