On Sept. 29, Sunrise Therapeutic Riding and Learning Centre will be hosting its annual Hoofbeat Challenge fundraising event – a horse ride/dog walk/hike on over 200 acres of beautiful, marked trails.

All proceeds will support Sunrise’s therapy and recreation programs for adults and children with special needs.

Sunrise is a nationally accredited therapeutic riding centre that has been serving the local community since 1982.

The Hoofbeat Challenge event includes a silent auction, bake sale, door prizes and more.

Special guests include the Ontario Mounted Special Service Unit and Taylor’s Toons, who will create caricatures of your dog, horse or family for a nominal fee.

Registration/check-in will start at 9am.

Dog walkers and hikers will head out on the trails together at 10am sharp.

Riders will start their trail ride between 11 and 11:15am.

The suggested registration fee is $50 or a minimum of $50 in pledges raised.

All registered participants receive a voucher towards lunch (available on site), and the first 100 registrants will receive a goody bag.

Family and friends are welcome to join registered walkers.

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
