The annual Elora Lions Club’s fireworks show will be held at the Grand River Raceway this Saturday, with the doors open at 7pm.

The fireworks has been sponsored by the club for 53 years.

It is also a fundraiser, one of only two major ones the Lions put on in a year. This year’s event will be $2 per person (minimum donation) with babes in arms free.

The Elora Lions reset the date for the fireworks in order to accommodate young families. The Elora Preschool will host a face painting and tattooing, with small ride on toys to be available.

In addition, OPP Canine Unit Constable Barry Reid will have his police dog on hand doing demonstrations. Fergus Elora Dance Academy will be performing, and a fire truck or two will likely come to the event.

Food will be available for purchase from the Alma Optimist club.

Fireworks begin at dusk.

The Elora Lions continues to support the Bissell Park enhancement project, CWDHS scholarship program, vision testing for youth in junior Kindergarten, and more.
