Annual Donkey Day set for June 10

The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada (DSC) will host its most important fundraising event of the year on June 10.

The 19th annual Donkey Day event will run from 10am to 4pm at the farm, 6981 Concession 4 in Puslinch Township.   

As always, the event will feature live entertainment, with this year?s acts including Lucas Stagg, Cormorants, Tanya Philipovich, Richard Laviolette, The Leonids and Loril Shannik. Special children?s entertainers will be Music with Brian and Klazz Klown.

Activities at this year?s event will include: a silent auction, wagon rides, ?Kid?s Fun Fest? (tattoos, face painting, donkey frame craft, straw roll, jumping castle and candy toss), ?donkey and you? photos, paint and name the donkey contests and  demonstrations from ?Our Partners in Care?,  not to mention food and more.

The DSC is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and protection of abandoned, neglected or abused donkeys, mules and hinnies. Animals admitted to the DSC are given a lifelong home.  Currently, the Sanctuary is home to 55 donkeys and nine mules.

The DSC is a non-profit organization that relies solely on individual donations and fundraising events such as Donkey Day.
