The Arboretum at the University of Guelph is presenting an animal tracking workshop with guest instructor Tamara Anderson on Jan. 20 from 9am to 4pm.

This workshop is for those that have wondered what made those marks in the snow.

In this full-day workshop participants will learn to identify and interpret animal tracks by looking at foot morphology, track patterns and gait analysis.  The workshop will also include an introduction to scat identification.

There is an outdoor component that will have participants looking for and following animal tracks and trails. Each participant will receive a copy of The Mammals of The Arboretum booklet which includes many tracks.

The fee is $75 plus HST per adult if registered by the early bird deadline of Jan. 12. After the early bird deadline the fee is $85 plus HST. To register online go to www.uoguelph.ca/arboretum.
