ANDERSON, George Roland (Rolly). December 3, 1933 - September 9, 2015. Peacefully at the élisabeth Bruyère Hospital in Ottawa on Wednesday September 9, 2015. Born in Port aux Basque, Newfoundland, Rolly was a Korean War Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Helen (Shafer), son George (Suzy), daughter Kathy (Keith) and five beautiful grandchildren, Kyle, Jordan, Samantha, Jessica and Kaitlyn. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Thomas (Hilda), Gertrude, Donna, and Joseph (Gwen), his nieces and nephews and family members in Newfoundland. He was predeceased by his parents George and Charlotte (Osmond). Family and friends are invited to the Memorial Celebration taking place October 18, 2015 from 2-4pm at the Elora Legion. The family would like to thank the staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital and the élisabeth Bruyère Hospital for their care and compassion. Memorial tributes may be made to the Bruyère Foundation, Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society, or charity of choice.
