Alma Roadkill Race for MS set for Oct. 19

The fifth annual Alma Optimist Roadkill Race for MS is set for Oct. 19.

The event will include a 1km Fun Run and 3km Family run, both set to begin at 1:30pm and free for participants. A 5/10k run/walk will begin at 3pm. Cost to participate is $40.

The event begins on the gravel track and Wallace Cummings Park on an out and back course that heads out Wellington Road 21. The 5km turnaround is just past the 14th Line and the 10km turnaround is just pas the 16th Line.

All ages and abilities are welcome. Registration includes a free lunch, courtesy of the Alma Optimist Club. Participants in the 5/10km events who register before Oct. 10 will receive a race t-shirt. All Fun Run participants will receive a medal for participation.
