Pie time – A soldout crowd was on hand for the Alma Optimist Club’s beef barbecue on July 29 at the Alma Community Centre. The dinner helped raise funds for the Floradale 4-H Sheep Club. Special guest volunteer Perth-Wellington MP John Nater got back from Ottawa just in time to help serve pie along with some of the 4-H members and other volunteers. From left: Nater, Eliana Grose, Sharon Grose, Mike Tanguay, Matt Tanguay, Jack Diehl and Cameron Schill. The next Optimist beef barbecues will be held on Sept. 30 and Nov. 25.
