AITKEN, June

AITKEN, June; Passed away peacefully at Wellington Terrace on January 22nd, 2015, at the age of 93. June loved to travel, work in the garden, care for her cats, go for drives in the country, knit and crochet and play cards. She especially liked her evening sherry, short-breads, butter tarts and ice-cream! June will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by: George and Susan Adams, Shawn and Jodi Adams, Leslie and Bart Chapman, Elias and Micah, Ryan and Deborah Adams, Rylen and Taylor-Jane, Matthew and Beth Adams. At June’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 30th - 2 pm, at St. James Anglican Church, Fergus. A reception will follow. Our heartfelt thanks to the folks from St. James Parish who faithfully visited with June over the past 4 years. As well, we wish to extend our appreciation to all the staff at Wellington Terrace for their wonderful programs and exceptional care. A special thank-you to Dr. Stickney, and the nurses and staff of Oak Glen, for your compassion and making June’s passing so gentle.
