Aitchison, Greta; Peacefully at Wellington Terrace on Wednesday, November 28, 2007, Greta Aitchison (nee McAllister) in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late William E. Aitchison (1988). Dear mother of Doug and his wife Joan. Loving grandmother of twins Debra (Doug Walser) and Dawn (Chris Funkenhauser) and great grandmother to Jasmine, Joelle and Beau Walser and Palmer and Gage Funkenhauser. Predeceased by a sister Irene Shepherd. Greta was a past member of the R.C. Legion Branch # 229, Elora and a member of the Rocky Glen Rebekah Lodge. Friends were received at the Thomson & Collins Funeral Home, 160 St. David Street North, Fergus. A funeral service was held in the chapel on Monday, December 3, 2007 at one o’clock with Rev. Kees Vandermey officiating. Interment followed at Elora Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
