‘Aggressive’ man charged
MOUNT FOREST – A local resident faces several charges following an incident in Mount Forest.
Wellington County OPP officials say officers responded to “a disturbance” on King Street East in Mount Forest on March 1 at about 3:45pm.
A 34-year-old from Mount Forest was charged with two counts of uttering threats (to cause death or bodily harm).
Police say the accused “became aggressive” while in custody and was further charged with mischief (destroys or damages property) and two counts of assaulting a peace officer.
“The accused’s name is being withheld, out of concern for their well being,” police stated.
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
