Advertiser named finalist for OCNA awards

WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Wellington Advertiser has been named one of the top three community newspapers in Ontario in its circulation class by the Ontario Community Newspapers Association.

The Advertiser was nominated in the general excellence category (circulation between 22,500 and 44,999), along with Niagara This Week and Whitby This Week.

The Advertiser is also a finalist in the following Premier Award categories:

– Best Front Page, circulation over 10,000;

– Best Special Section (“Welcome to the new Groves” feature), circulation over 10,000;

– Best Feature/Unit Pages (“Victory in Europe Day” feature);

– Best Local Retail Layout (North Wellington Community News, Alicia Roza);

– Best Use of Colour in an Ad (Helen Michel); and

– Best Community Website, circulation over 10,000.

Winners will be announced in a virtual presentation on April 23.
