Aberfoyle to become ‘Tinsel Town’ as Santa Claus parade announced

ABERFOYLE – The Optimist Club of Puslinch has announced that the 30th annual Santa Claus Parade will take place on Nov. 23 at 2pm.

The parade will follow its traditional route, beginning at the Township Fire Hall, travelling east along Wellington Road 34, turning south on Brock Road, and finishing at the Optimist Recreation Centre, beside the Puslinch Community Centre.

After the parade, everyone is invited back to the Optimist Recreation Centre to warm up with free hot dogs and hot chocolate served by the Optimist Club of Puslinch.

Enjoy festive Christmas carols, meet Santa, and watch as he hands out goody bags to the children and poses for holiday photos.

Children are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa and post them in the North Pole Mailbox. All letters that include a return address will receive a personal reply from Santa himself.

Admission is free, but donations to the food bank are appreciated and will be collected along the parade route. Last year’s parade generated an amazing 1,393 pounds of food for local families in need.

Anyone who would like to volunteer or participate in the parade, please contact Ken or June Williams at 519-763-0309.

Volunteers are needed for crowd control and food bank collections, and new floats, bands, animals, community groups, and local businesses are always welcome. The Santa Claus Parade is a beloved Puslinch tradition that brings the community together in the true spirit of Christmas.

Come join your neighbours and friends for a ‘Tinsel Town Christmas.’
