There were zombies, princesses, zombie princesses, legomen, supermen, peacocks and pirates – and that was just the parents!  The James McQueen annual Halloween dance was a ‘fangtastic’ night of fun.

“A huge thank you to everyone who attended and proved once again that the James McQueen school community rocks!” stated Kim Saunders, School council co-chair. “We may be primary, but we sure know how to party.”

Best costume prizes were awarded to Brayden White, Madelaine Pothier, and Megan Thoms-Mcdougall.

“Thank you to Mark Haynes for donating his time, equipment, expertise and enthusiasm as DJ,” stated Sarah Joyes, school council co-chair.  “Thank you to Mrs. Arnott, Mr. Lacey and the rest of the James McQueen staff for all of their help.  Thanks also to parents who provided goodies for the bake table and volunteered their time at the event.”

Together just under $700 was raised to put towards fun and enriching activities for the students.

The James McQueen School Council is a volunteer board of parents and staff committed to enhancing the school experience and sense of community for our children by organizing fun and educational events and fundraising.

It is open to anyone, visit www.ugdsb.on.ca/jamesmcqueen/ourschool for meeting dates and times.
