A Hot Night in Hillsburgh

What would Guns and Roses sound like if they were a Big Band? Could Count Basie’s Orchestra back Adele? What if Earth Wind and Fire had eight horns not just four?

The audience will find out when Brampton’s own 18-piece Big Band, the Chinguacousy Swing Orchestra, takes to the Century Church Theatre stage again on April 9, for the ninth year.

Their music ranges from swing classics of the ‘40s and ‘50s to the funk and fusion of the ‘80s and ‘90s. They may even stray into a bit of country.

Even though “Swing” is their middle name, two-step, swing, pop, funk, it’s All That Jazz to the Chinguacousy Swing Orchestra.

The show will begin at 8pm. Tickets are $20 and may be reserved by calling the box office at 519-855-4586. For more information visit centurychurchtheatre.com.
