81's up by two in first playoff round
The Mapleton-Minto 81’s hold a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven WOAA Senior AA quarter final series with the Shallow Lake Crushers.
The 81’s opened the series by blanking the Crushers 7-0 in Drayton on Feb. 5. Tyson Leblanc scored a hat trick. Andrew Coburn had a goal and two assists, while Zach Graham picked up three assists. Jason Hamilton stopped 30 shots for the shutout. The train kept rolling in game two with a 6-3 win in Shallow Lake on Feb. 6.
The series continues Feb. 12 at 8:30pm in Palmerston and game four is in Shallow Lake on Feb. 13 at 8pm.
