81's split playoff games with Saugeen Shores; Elora Rock lose two to Durham Thundercats

The Mapleton-Minto 81’s split a pair of opening round playoff games in their series with the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks last weekend.

The Winterhawks edged the 81’s 4-3 in Port Elgin on Feb. 6, but the Train got back on track and blanked its opponents 3-0 in Palmerston on Feb. 7.

The series continues Feb. 13 in Port Elgin at 8:30pm and Feb. 15 in Palmerston at 6pm.

Meanwhile, the Elora Rock have fallen behind two games to none in their series with the Durham Thundercats.

The Rock were out-scored 4-1 in Durham on Feb. 7 and lost by a 7-5 count in Elora on Feb. 8.

The series continues on Feb. 13 in Durham at 8:30pm and Feb. 15 at 5pm with a game in Elora.
