4-H members learn to use special water brushes

The third meeting of the 4-H water colour club took place on June 4. When all members were accounted for, June handed out special water brushes. They worked by filling up the bottom of them with water and then screwing up the top where the bristles are.

Members then discovered that we didn’t need water containers to dip brushes in. The water in the brushes automatically came out when the brush was dry.

Members then watched a video on painting with water colour pencils.

On a separate piece of paper, we tried blending where we rubbed pencil crayons on the page and then rubbed water on top of it.

It created a beautiful effect that all members will use in our next project.

To finish off the meeting, everyone painted a vase with flowers using this blending technique for our flowers. Stay tuned for more exciting News. For now, relax and paint!
