The Wellington County 4-H Small Engine Club, The Rednecks Slednecks, was busy this past winter with the restoration of a 1971 Boa Ski Cobra 438CC.

The meetings consisted of rebuilding the carburetor, replacing crankshaft seals, painting, recolouring the seat, and building a windshield among other things.

A special thank-you goes to Gerald Giesel, who donated the snowmobile in memory of his brother, Earl, Don Hamilton from Guelph, who came to one meeting as a guest speaker, the Antique Snowmobile Club of Canada, Ken Austin, Robbie Anderson, Harvey Miller, Ian and Leslie Cook, Wellington Manufacturing and our leader, Keith Austin.

The snowmobile is on display at the Grand River Raceway. It will be auctioned off at the annual Wellington County  beef  barbecue, dance, and silent auction on April 25 at the Elora community centre.

Tickets are available at the door.
