On June 7 48 members from the West Luther beef, dairy, vet and field crops club gathered at the farms of Corey and Kim Rae and Brian and Doris Aitken near Holstein.

The meeting began at Unique Holsteins. Leaders handed out the official judging cards and provided an overview of the evening, then paired younger members up with an older member to help them if necessary.

Next, members headed into the barn to judge the dairy class, which was supplied by Corey and Kim Rae. Afterwards, Jamie Farrell acted as the dairy official and gave the official judging on the class.

Members then headed down the road to Brian and Doris Aitken’s where the rest of the meeting was held.

Classes judged included beef cattle (supplied by Evan Moyer, Brian and Doris Aitken), corn (provided by Shawridge Elevators), steaks, cookies (provided by Pat Burdzy, Shannon Cartwright, Ryan Harrop and Taylor Black) and invitations (provided by Heather Hargrave).

At the end of the evening, each judge provided the official judging for their class and their reasons. Special thanks to everyone who made this meeting possible.
