27th annual Oral Communication Festival

GUELPH – Maya Adewunmi from St. John Catholic School in Guelph competing in the intermediate Wellington Catholic District School Board Oral Communication Festival on March 5 at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Rockwood. Adewunmi came in third place for intermediate students with her speech entitled “Genderism and Equality.” This was the 27th annual event. Junior finalists were St. Ignatius Guelph student Isaac Richardson in first place, St. Mary Erin student Gureet Virk in second place, and St. Joseph Guelph student Ada White in third place. Intermediate finalists were St. Patrick Guelph student Yzrael Kreiger in first place, St. Joseph Guelph student Kira Egete in second place and Adewunmi in third place.
