12th annual Active Living and Retirement Show

CENTRE WELLINGTON – On March 22, the Victoria Park Seniors Centre will present the 12th annual Active Living and Retirement Show. 

The show, taking place at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex will feature more than 50 exhibitors, door prizes, giveaways, refreshments and a considerable amount of information pertaining to active living.

“Our free event offers residents an opportunity to connect with organizations that contribute to the overall well-being of our community” said Kathryn Morgan, supervisor of senior services.  

“The goal is to encourage adults and older adults to maintain and enhance their lifestyle while embracing  health and wellness through healthy active aging.”

The event will take place from 10am to 2pm.  

Admission is free, and the event is open to all. The show will also include the following scheduled events:

– 10:15am: Tap dancing and belly dancing;

– 10:30am: Wills, powers of attorney and living wills seminar;

– 11am: Zumba gold;

– 11:45am: Move with ease;

– 11:45am: Estate administration taxes seminar;

– 12:30pm: Fitness kickboxing;

– 1pm:  Age has its benefits seminar; and

– 1:15pm: Zumba gold-toning.

This event is hosted by the Victoria Park Seniors Centre in partnership with the Older Adult Centres’ Association of Ontario (OACAO) and sponsored by the Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility.
