100 Women Who Care raise funds for Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis

GUELPH-WELLINGTON – At the March 28 meeting of 100 Women Who Care Rural Wellington, the winning charity was selected as Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis.

The $9,500 raised will go to support programs provided by the organization across rural Wellington County. This is a much-needed infusion of funds as all charities are seeing a reduction in the amount of donations they are receiving.

The next meeting will be in person on June 20 at the Elora Raceway, GrandWay building, at 7pm. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the organization is welcome to attend.

Organizers encourage all members to bring a friend.

“Join us and experience the positive feeling that is achieved when a group of women who want to work towards community betterment meet, learn about local charities and collectively donate to the selected charity,” officials say.

The commitment is to submit a payment of $100 four times a year.

Attending meetings is optional, as the organization recognizes that members are pulled in many different directions simultaneously.
