For their third annual art exhibition, Elemental, the Octarine Women Artists’ Collective, a group of eight artists from Wellington County, are showing their work at Joshua Creek Heritage Arts Centre in Oakville.

The eight artists work in a variety of different media and will be presenting all new pieces in this show.  Participating artists include Deborah Dryden (encaustic), Carol Hughes (watercolour), Kim Johnston (oils, watercolour and pastel), Mary Karavos (paper collage), Jean Loney (mosaic), Leslie Miles (soft pastels and mixed media), Gail Root (oils and chalk pastel) and Susan Strachan Johnson (fibre mixed media).

There will be an opening reception, artists present, on April 3 from 2 to 5pm. The public is invited, and there is no charge for admission.

After the success of their two previous shows in Guelph, the move to the spacious gallery in a renovated barn at Joshua Creek will allow for a longer period of five weeks for this year’s show. The exhibit runs from April 1 to May 8.

Gallery hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 1 to 4pm.

Joshua Creek Heritage Arts Centre is located at 1086 Burnamthorpe Road (east of Trafalgar), Oakville, Ontario.
