"Chase the Tornado" returns June 7
The fifth annual Chase the Tornado 10km returns to Grand Valley on June 7.
For the past four years, participants ran through town from the community centre then followed the path of the tornado that passed through the town 30 years ago.
A new kids’ fun run kicks off at 9:30am. Runners and walkers start at 10am.
The entry fee is $40 ($50 on race day) with reduced pricing for youth. Participants receive a race shirt and compete for medals and prizes, including a cash reward for breaking the course record.
Proceeds support getting youth active through running and local trails. This year Run Dufferin has partnered with Upper Grand Trailway Association (UGTA) and Grand valley Minor Hockey (GVMHA). Contact Margery Cruise at 519-217-5414 or visit ChasetheTornado.com.
