"Brighten Up" toy drive raises over $1,500 for local families
This holiday season, Brighten Up, a toy and game store here, has helped to make the season a bit brighter for local residents.
The store had undertaken a toy drive to support East Wellington Community Services and is proud to announce this year’s tally of $1,530 toys and games.
EWCS serves local families in Erin, Rockwood and the surrounding areas. This is a difficult time of year for many families, and the Toy Drive brings holiday magic to children whose family is facing financial strain.
Events at Brighten Up supporting the Toy Drive included Toy Store Day and pictures with Santa.
Brighten Up also offers professional tutoring and educational services. Officials say they are proud to be active members of the Erin community. Brighten Up is located at 67 Main.
