WRIGHT, Greg

of Arthur passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his daughters on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in his 68th year. Loving Dad of Tammy Wright (Michael), Donna Veldhuizen (Scott), and Leanne Zonneveld (Mathew). Cherished Grandpa of Cora, Camden, Maverick, and Isabelle. Son of late Thomas and Margaret Wright (nee Davis) of Georgetown. Brother of Joseph Wright (Linda) and William Wright (predeceased). Fondly remembered by his family and friends. Dad loved to spend his days caring for his property which he took great pride in. He could often be spotted watering his veggie garden, flower beds, and newly planted trees, or out on the lawn mower cutting the grass. With a soft spot for the critters, Dad was always accompanied by a loyal pup who he couldn’t help but spoil with affection and an extra treat or two, and was regularly topping up his bird feeders in what fondly became known as the “Fly Thru.” Dad had a mechanical aptitude, and when he wasn’t busy caring for animals and plants, he would often be working away on a project in the shed with some classic rock or country music playing over the radio. With a passion for motorcycles, Dad loved to fire up his bike and head down the road for a good ride. Dad had a generous spirit, never asking for anything and always willing to give, to help, or to lend an ear. To be in Dad’s presence was to be in the presence of kindness. He was a man known to listen twice as much as he spoke, always leaning in with softness, optimism, and of course, an endearing and always perfectly timed sense of humour. No concern or worry seemed too big to overcome after a chat with Dad. He showed us what it means to work hard, appreciate the little things, and to keep your chin up even on the toughest days. Not a day passed that we didn’t feel Dad’s endless love and support, and the pure joy his grandkids brought him. We miss him more than words can express and will be forever grateful to call him our Dad. With all our love, Tammy, Donna, and Leanne. To honour Greg’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Alma Community Centre (51 Simpson St E, Alma) on July 12, 2026, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. In memory of Greg, the family welcomes memorial donations to Hamilton Health Sciences – Juravinski Cancer Centre or the Guelph Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Arthur.
