WOOD, Shirley

Shirley Wood of Teviotdale passed away at Fordwich Village Nursing Home on Sunday, January 25, 2026 in her 67th year. Sister of William Wood, Wesley Wood, Edward ‘Ted’ Wood, Barry and Louise Wood, all of Palmerston, Kathy Levesque of Guelph, and Jean and Lorne Johnston of Brodhagen. Remembered by her nieces and nephews Patrick Wood, Carolyn Wood, Desiree Levesque (and Jake), Justine Levesque (and Jorin), and James Levesque (and Mangi). Predeceased by her brother Robert Wood and by her parents Jim and Doris (Divell) Wood. Shirley was a beloved sister, aunt and friend. Prior to Robert’s passing, she was his sturdy support and showed great compassion in supporting all of her family members. She was quick with a joke and never failed to entertain her nieces and nephews. Shirley had endless love for animals, especially her cats, inspired by her life as a farmer. She treated others in her community with kindness and respect. She will be remembered by her family and friends and she will be missed and cherished by all of us. A family service will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston in the spring, with interment to follow in Harriston Cemetery.
