WOLSTENHOLME, Lynne Ann

After a brief illness, it is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lynne Wolstenholme, at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 68 years. Loving wife of the late Rob Wolstenholme (2025). Proud Mom of Jason, Lori and Bryan, Brandy and Florin, Steven and Vanessa. Cherished Nana of Madison, Evan, Mikayla, Keira; Caitlyn, Brody; Ellie, Tristan; Iver and Alice. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Lynne was the life of the party. She was social, generous, and could make friends wherever she went. She had a wonderful sense of humour, a quick wit, and just the right amount of sarcasm. She always had an opinion and was never afraid or shy to share it. Her greatest pride and joy was her family. Her kids and grandkids were her life. She always made sure they knew they were loved and that she was there for everyone. As a Nana, she was silly, playful, and loved nothing more than spoiling her grandchildren. Some of Lynne’s happiest times were spent at the family cottage, surrounded by her family and her beloved lake friends, who meant so much to her. She loved cruising the lake on her pontoon, the “Nauti Nana”, taking the grandkids deep-water swimming with The Beach Boys blasting, and enjoying a dirty martini with exactly three olives whenever the occasion called for one. Christmas was her favourite holiday, and she had a way of making it wonderfully chaotic - with massive family dinners, laughter, and traditions that will now become the most treasured memories.  We will carry those memories with us, along with our family vacations, especially our times together in Turks and Caicos. Lynne was looking forward to so much more, including a special European trip with some of her best friends. We are heartbroken that she won’t get to take that trip with them. Losing her so soon after Dad is incredibly difficult, but there is comfort in knowing that they are together again. We would like to sincerely thank the nurses and PSWs at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus and Hospice Wellington in Guelph for the extraordinary love, kindness, and compassion they showed to Mom during her final days. They cared for her with such warmth and dignity, while also providing comfort and support to our family. Their presence was a blessing to Mom and to all of us, and we will be forever grateful. Mom, we will miss you more than words can say. We promise you will live on in each of us - in our stories, our laughter, our Christmas dinners, our family vacations, and every summer day at the cottage. We hope you are somewhere beautiful, with Dad beside you, a dirty martini in your hand, and dancing up a storm.  We love you, Mom. We love you, Nana. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at The GrandWay Events Centre, 7445 Wellington County Rd. 21, Elora on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 12–3pm with words of remembrance shared at 1pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
