GUELPH - Hundreds of children and their families will experience the science behind the magic on Nov. 2 at the annual School of Witchcraft and Wizardry taking place at the University of Guelph’s Summerlee Science Complex.

Hosted by the Let’s Talk Science Outreach coordinators, the event brings together student volunteers, local small businesses and other charitable organizations to put on more than two dozen classes and short presentations involving hands-on science activities for youth and children.

This year’s classes will cover everything from magical plants and bloodlines to care for magical creatures.

Kids and parents will experience how magic can be achieved with just a little help from science.

This event is an engaging and fun way for kids to see science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) applied all while helping them develop knowledge and skills they will need for careers in the future.
