Wintersinger seeks accurate tally
Councillor Josie Wintersinger would like to see more accurate figures when it comes to how much was raised by the recent Celebrate Erin event.
On March 19, Wintersigner made the request.
She noted that on March 5 a quote was made about the money raised by Celebrate Erin.
“Since the records have not been completed at this point in time, I’d like that it be noted it was not necessarily a correct figure.”
The information contained in the minutes stated the event raised between $10,000 to $15,000.
Wintersinger then asked for a full accounting when the records are complete.
While Mayor Lou Maieron did not disagree with having a full accounting presented, he stressed the amount was only an estimate. He then asked town CAO Frank Miele if it was “a realistic estimate.”
Miele responded that it was.
Maieron said people were asking how much was raised.And, he said, the estimate was not inaccurate.
