WINKLER, Lloyd Alan

Of Moorefield passed away unexpectedly while on vacation on Sunday, January 25, 2026. A loss that came far too soon and has left an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed as a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. He leaves behind his beloved partner Bernie Goodwin, her sons Nicholas Goodwin, and Joshua Goodwin, and her grandson Brayden Pereira, his children Jordan Winkler (Jess), Kaitlyn Winkler (Rob), and Ryan Caskanette, and his cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie, Owen, and Peyton. Fondly remembered by his siblings Rick Winkler (Sandy), Diane Moore (Brad), sister-in-law Lori Winkler, many nieces, nephews, and extended family, with whom he shared meaningful bonds. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents, Herb and Edith (MacDougall) Winkler and by his brother, Ron Winkler. Lloyd had a deep love for the outdoors and sports. He enjoyed camping, fishing, ice fishing, hockey and golfing, but above all, he treasured time spent with his children and grandchildren. A quiet man with a great sense of humour, Lloyd’s dry wit and gentle presence were appreciated by all who knew him. He was a long term, dedicated employee of the Mount Forest Hospital maintenance department, where his reliability, skill, and work ethic were highly valued. Outside of work, Lloyd was always willing to lend a hand, helping friends and family with home repairs and renovations, never asking for anything in return. Visitation was held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Wednesday, February 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 11:00am with a reception to follow at the Harriston Legion.  The funeral will be livestreamed and the link available on the funeral home website. Spring interment in Harriston Cemetery. Memorial donations to Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest, or North Perth Minor Sports would be appreciated.
