WILDER, Joseph Walter
With great sadness we announce the passing of Joseph Walter Wilder, who passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday February 28th 2024. Beloved husband of Cindy (Cynthia) Wilder for 27 years, and proud step father to Donald and Micheal DeVries. He will also be greatly missed by his Brother -In-Law Matthew McArthur and his wife Kathy. Joseph will be remembered by all who knew him as a hardworking, honest, big hearted soul who loved helping others, along with his passion for horses and fishing. Joseph was an active and well respected resident of Rockwood. Joseph will be remembered fondly as the proud First Vice President of the Rockwood District Lions Club, District A-15. His passion for helping the community and being heavily involved with their “Community Pantry”, monthly bottle drive, as well as the “Rockwood Tack Swap and Equine Trade Show” that was his personal pet project he was so proud of. Joseph also shared his love of horses as a Director of the Rockwood Trail Riders. As per Joseph’s wishes, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations to the Upper Credit Humane Society or the Rockwood Lion’s Club would be appreciated by the family.
