MOUNT FOREST – The Wellington Heights Secondary School (WHSS) drama club has been working hard on this year’s musical Any Time, Any Place, officials say.
It’s a student-driven, student-created production. Grade 12 student Rebekah McDougall is the director and script-writer.
Any Time, Any Place is an original story about life, love, friendship and the mistakes along the way, set in a diner run by Flo, who delivers tough love with a side of fries to her patrons.
After Flo’s group of “regulars” graduate high school, they are welcomed back to the diner 15 years later for a reunion filled with laughter, tears and some important life lessons.
This jukebox musical features popular songs from artists including Adele, Beyonce, The Backstreet Boys, Dolly Parton, John Denver, Joni Mitchell and Cyndi Lauper.
The play, which officials say is appropriate for all ages, runs June 5 and 6 at 7pm and June 7 at 1pm and 7pm.
Run time is approximately two hours, including a 15-minute intermission.
Tickets ($15 for general admission, $10 for students) are available for UGDSB families through School Cash Online.
There will also be hard copy tickets for sale at the school during lunch and at Hybrid Hair and Detox Spa, Stumbled Upon, and M&M’s Food Market, all in Mount Forest.
