WHITE, William Harvey “Bill”
Passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, at Groves Memorial Hospital, in his 89th year. Bill will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 65 years, Elizabeth. He will also be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, as well as his many nieces, nephews, and his cherished friends and neighbours at Pine Meadows. Bill worked as a mechanic from 1957 to 1971 and later owned a Snap-on Tools franchise in East York from 1971 to 1994. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and hockey, spent 19 years boating, and travelled across Canada and the United States with Elizabeth in their motorhome. He was also a skilled woodcarver who enjoyed teaching others in Florida and at Pine Meadows. In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Guelph General Hospital, Hamilton General Hospital, and Groves Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion. Memorial donations may be made to Groves Memorial Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements are entrusted to the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home.
