WEST, Marlie Harriet (nee: Vance)
Loving wife of Bert West for 65 years. Married in Owen Sound in 1955, mother of 4 boys Tom (Mardi), Ted (Colleen), Tim (Angel) and Terry (Fiona). Grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 13. Marlie was one of seven sisters raised in Owen Sound, Laurene Boyd (deceased) (Norman Deceased), Audrey, Pask (Don deceased), Wilda Warkentien (deceased) (Ralph deceased), Georgina Barnard (Les deceased), Margaret Girdler (Larry deceased) and Linda Bauman (Ken). Marlie was an energetic and active woman who loved to travel, play cards, go on cruises, any dance night, camping and socializing. Many of these activities involved her sisters throughout her life. A special thanks to the nurses in ambulatory care on the 3rd floor of Groves Hospital as well as to Dr. Mark Easterbrook. Arrangements are entrusted to The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus. A burial will be postponed until the spring when friends can gather at McKee Cemetery.
