Culture Days - Wellington North, through its Cultural Roundtable, took part in the province-wide Culture Days last weekend. LEFT TOP: The annual Metz Pumpkin Fest was held Sept. 28 and included a pumpkin and zucchini weigh-in, children’s activities and games as well as barbecued hotdogs and hamburgers with potluck salads and desserts.

The doors to the Lynes Blacksmith Shop were open on Sept. 28 so visitors could see the progress on the heritage project. The recently acquired tyre setting plate (c 1900) was also on display. It was donated to the blacksmith shop by Cindy Hendrick, left middle, and Ray Hamilton, right middle of L. Hamilton’s Machine Shop Ltd. in Exeter. Barry, right, and Velma Manser spied the plate, which belonged to Hamilton’s father, while visiting that town.
