Wellington North grants permission for #GetInTouchForHutch runs

Council here is once again authorizing  1km and 5km #GetInTouchForHutch runs in memory of Steven Hutchison on June 27.
The runs on that day are from 9:30 to 11:30am and operated in combination with the Arthur Optimists Canada Day weekend activities.
On March 9, council passed a request from Susan O’Neill who is working with Stuart and Myrna Hutchison to organize the third annual event.
O’Neill stated all funds raised will be donated to mental health/suicide awareness and prevention.
Routes essentially remain the same as last year except for the change in the direction heading down Tucker Street at the first part of the race/walk route - so that near the end there is no uphill climb.
“Neither route crosses Highway 6, as we do not wish to deviate major traffic on a long weekend,” O’Neill stressed.
