WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Wellington Heights Senior Boys Soccer Team had another successful season under the tutelage of head coach Matt McFarlane. The Wolverines ended the regular season in second place, with eight wins and two losses. In the playoffs, the Wolverines shutout Emmanuel Christian High School from Fergus with a score of 3-0 on Oct. 27. Then, on Oct. 29, Wellington Heights faced the undefeated Centre Dufferin District High School team in the District 4 Championship Final and came away with a strong 5-2 win to claim the title. The team will advance to the CWOSSA Soccer Championship tournament, which will be held in the spring.
