Successful event - The June 7 student-led Relay for Life fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society at Wellington Heights Secondary School in Mount Forest was a tremendous success. $32,000 was raised by those walking laps and taking part in a wide array of fun-filled events, surpassing the goal of $26,000. Beach volleyball, giant cup pong, dodge ball, tug-of-war, frisbee competition, sack and three-legged races and face painting were all enjoyed, as well as barbecued food. Cancer survivors in the community were also invited to take party by walking a lap.  Around 300  students, over 50 per cent of the student population took part in the fun event, according to organizer Ethan Andrews, a member of the student organizing committee.
