WEIR, Audrey Christena (nee Dodge)
Although Audrey could never quite believe it, she really was 96 when she passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019. Audrey was a proud resident of Gordonville, Ontario, much of her life. She was the daughter of Minnie and Leslie (Paddy) Dodge and the sister of Eva, George and Max (all deceased). After Audrey moved to Guelph in the 60’s, she worked for a veterinary supply company and later retired from the University of Guelph. In 1985, she happily married Bill Weir (2001) and is fondly remembered by his children Susan Bois (Bob) of Meaford, Jim Weir (Janet) of Guelph, Marilyn Holmes (Ken) of Elora and Kathy O’Connor (Gerry Grasley) of Belwood and their families. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Leanne Kay (Ken) of Guelph, Lynne Grubbs (Shelby) of Atlanta, Steve Dodge (Donna) of Guelph and Patrick Eves (Daphne) of Perth and their families. A private family service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel. Memorial donations to the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (8955 Wellington Rd 14 Gordonville, ON N0G 2E0) would be appreciated.
