Weather damage – Wellington County roads workers clear felled trees from Wellington Road 26, west of Wellington Road 124, following a deadly storm that swept through the province on May 21. There were several reports of trees and downed hyrdo lines across the county. Wellington OPP responded to 52 weather-related calls last Saturday, ranging from traffic hazards to false alarms. No serious injuries have been reported within the county, but according to media reports, the storm has resulted in the deaths of 10 people across the province as of May 24, mostly due to falling trees or branches.
