WEADICK, Betty Marie (née Monk)
Betty Weadick nee Monk, a loving wife, cherished mother, and former school teacher passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital on December 17th, 2023 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank (2012) and sons Joseph (2013) and James (1953). Betty is survived by her loving daughters Pat (Alan) and Jean (Bryan), as well as grandchildren Geoff (Marianne), Jeremy (Kathryn), Frances (Mike), Matt, Philip (Mystique), Patrick (Vivian), Cohen, Blake, and Bethany (Matt), and nine adorable great granddaughters. In her life, she was an active member of The Catholic Women’s League and the Women’s Institute. Betty loved teaching but her greatest joys were crafting, baking and being a farm wife. A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at St. Mary Immaculate in Elora on Friday, December 22, at 11:00am followed by the interment at The Elora Cemetery. A small reception lunch will follow at the Elora Legion (Br. 299). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Groves Memorial Community Hospital. Betty will be truly missed and she leaves behind a legacy of warmth and wisdom. May her gentle spirit and fond memories continue to inspire us all.
